Where it came from
Released in 2023 as part of the LEGO Dreamzzz theme, the Dream Village set was designed to capture the surreal and imaginative spirit of the accompanying animated series. The theme was developed by the LEGO Group to bridge the gap between creative building play and narrative-driven storytelling, utilizing a modular design philosophy that encourages builders to customize their structures to match the dream-like logic depicted in the show.
The set depicts a whimsical collection of forest dwellings, utilizing vibrant colors and unconventional architecture to reflect the creative world-building of the Dreamzzz universe. Critics and builders generally received the set as a successful foray into original fantasy concepts, noting that the modular elements provided a level of flexibility that differentiates it from more static licensed sets within the broader LEGO portfolio.
