Where it came from
Released in 2021 as part of the LEGO Ideas range, the Dressing Room set commemorates the enduring legacy of the sitcom Friends. The design was inspired by a fan submission that sought to capture the specific aesthetic of the show's backstage and green room environments. It was developed to serve as a companion piece to the larger, highly successful LEGO Friends Apartments set, allowing collectors to expand their display of the series' iconic interior locations.
The set features a compact, modular design that focuses on the character-specific details found within the backstage area. The aesthetic leans into the colorful, slightly eclectic style of 1990s television production, utilizing accessories and stickers to recreate props familiar to fans of the show. Upon its release, it was received positively by the enthusiast community for its attention to detail and its ability to provide a polished, scene-specific display option for the growing Friends-themed LEGO collection.
