Where it came from
Released in 2017 as a seasonal promotional set, the Easter Egg Hunt (40237) was designed to capture the festive atmosphere of springtime scavenger hunts. It was part of a broader push by the manufacturer to offer small, affordable builds that tied into specific holidays, appealing to families looking for seasonal decorations rather than complex construction projects.
The set features a buildable garden patch with a small gate, a tree, and a rabbit, complemented by two minifigures engaged in the titular activity. The design emphasizes bright, pastel aesthetics and playability, providing a contained vignette that reflects the company's long-standing strategy of integrating their system into traditional holiday celebrations.
