Where it came from
The Easter Sheep, released under set number 40380-1, was introduced by the LEGO Group in 2020 as a seasonal promotional item. Designed to capture the aesthetic of springtime festivities, the set depicts a stylized, brick-built sheep standing alongside a small garden patch containing painted eggs. It serves as part of the company's long-standing tradition of releasing small, themed vignettes intended to decorate homes during holiday periods.
The design utilizes a mix of standard elements to achieve a rounded, approachable character that aligns with the visual language of the Creator and seasonal lines. Like many similar seasonal releases, the set was marketed primarily through official retail channels during the lead-up to the Easter holiday. It received a positive reception from the collector community for its whimsical character design and its utility as an affordable, thematic display piece.
