Where it came from
Released in 2015 as part of the Lego Friends theme, Emma's Tourist Kiosk was designed to expand the playability of the Heartlake City series by introducing a small-scale commercial build. The set reflects the theme's focus on character-driven scenarios, providing a dedicated space for the character Emma to interact with tourists in a bright, colorful aesthetic that characterizes the Friends line.
The design team emphasized a compact yet detailed structure, featuring a rotating postcard rack and a map display to ground the kiosk in its travel-centric narrative. As with many sets of this scale, it was intended to serve as an accessible entry point for younger builders while offering functional play elements like the bicycle and the kiosk’s opening counter, garnering positive feedback for its cohesive color palette and thematic consistency.
