Where it came from
The LEGO Fairground Accessory Set (40373-1) was released in 2020 as part of a series of small blister-pack style sets designed to expand upon existing carnival-themed builds. These sets were developed to provide collectors with supplementary minifigures and modular structures that fit seamlessly into larger amusement park layouts, filling a functional gap for builders looking to populate their fairgrounds with patrons and vendor booths.
The design of the set focuses on the interactive experience of a fair, featuring a ring-toss game and a small prize stall. The minifigures included are generic fairgoers, intended to add life and activity to more elaborate models like the LEGO Creator Expert fairground rides. While the set is modest in scale, it was well-received by the enthusiast community as an accessible way to add detail and narrative flair to larger city or carnival displays.
