Friends Clubhouse

The LEGO Friends Clubhouse, set 5005236-1, was released as a promotional polybag set in 2018. Designed to complement the broader LEGO Friends theme, which centers on the daily lives and adventures of five best friends in Heartlake City, this set was crafted to offer an accessible, bite-sized entry point into the world of creative building for younger fans. The design reflects the bright, pastel-heavy aesthetic characteristic of the line, focusing on small-scale modular play that encourages role-playing and storytelling within the established suburban environment of the series.

The creative team behind the Friends line aimed to blend traditional construction techniques with elements of domestic and social simulation, moving away from the combat-heavy themes that dominated much of the LEGO catalog at the time. Upon its release, the set was well-received by the target demographic for its portability and its ability to integrate seamlessly with the larger, more complex Heartlake City buildings. It remains a notable example of how the company used small, supplemental sets to deepen the narrative engagement of the Friends universe.
