Where it came from
The LEGO Friends Carry Case, released under set number 850597-1, was introduced by the LEGO Group as a practical storage solution for the burgeoning Friends theme. Launched in the early 2010s to accompany the introduction of the mini-doll figure system, this accessory was designed to offer young fans a portable way to organize their collection while highlighting the pastel aesthetics and suburban motifs central to the Friends product line.
The design of the case emphasizes portability and durability, featuring molded plastic compartments tailored for smaller bricks and figures. It was developed to serve both as a functional carrying device and a thematic extension of the Friends brand. While the case itself was not attributed to a specific high-profile designer, it reflects the company's broader shift during this period toward integrated lifestyle accessories that catered to the specific building habits and storage needs of the Friends target demographic.
