Where it came from
The Fun Creativity 12-in-1 set, released under the reference number 40593-1, was introduced by the LEGO Group in 2023 as a promotional gift with purchase. It was designed to encourage open-ended building, providing a versatile collection of bricks that could be reconfigured into twelve distinct models. This set reflects the brand's recurring strategy of offering small, polybag-style or boxed promotional items that emphasize foundational building skills rather than franchise-based narratives.
The design philosophy behind the 12-in-1 set focuses on simplicity and accessibility, utilizing a classic color palette to appeal to builders of all skill levels. By offering multiple assembly instructions for a single box of elements, the set serves as a showcase for the versatility of basic bricks. It received a positive reception from the enthusiast community as a functional and creative addition to the promotional catalog, valued for its high re-playability compared to more static display models.
