Where it came from
This minifigure was released in 2021 as part of the LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures series, which marked the first time the company dedicated a blind-bagged series entirely to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Gamora is depicted here in her appearance from the Disney+ animated anthology series What If...?, specifically representing the version of the character who has taken up the mantle and armor of Thanos following his defeat.
The design draws heavily from the specific aesthetic of the episode What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord?, where this variant of Gamora is introduced. The figure features intricate torso and leg printing that mirrors the armored plating of the Mad Titan, accompanied by a double-bladed weapon accessory. It was received positively by the collecting community for its detailed arm printing and the unique opportunity to acquire a character iteration that diverged significantly from the standard live-action cinematic canon.
