Where it came from
The LEGO Gingerbread Man, designated as set 5005156-1, was released as a promotional item during the 2016 holiday season. It features a brick-built version of the iconic holiday figure, capturing the charm of the festive mascot through a simple but expressive construction using standard brown elements and printed pieces to simulate icing details.
This design serves as a companion piece to the larger LEGO Gingerbread House sets that have become a staple of the holiday collection. It was conceived as a limited-availability gift with purchase, intended to provide collectors with a desktop-sized decorative ornament that reflects the whimsical, nostalgic aesthetic associated with traditional gingerbread craftsmanship.
