Where it came from
The LEGO Graduate set, numbered 8805-1, was released in 2012 as a promotional polybag item. It belongs to a series of seasonal or celebratory minifigure-based sets that LEGO occasionally produces for special occasions, such as graduations or holidays. These sets are designed to serve as small, sentimental tokens of achievement rather than complex building experiences.
The set features a single minifigure dressed in traditional academic regalia, including a mortarboard cap and a diploma accessory. The design is straightforward and minimalist, intended to represent the quintessential image of a student finishing their studies. While not part of a core narrative theme, it became a popular collectible for those looking to commemorate academic milestones within their display collections.
