Where it came from
Released in 2014, the LEGO Halloween Set (850936-1) was part of a seasonal series of promotional miniset packs designed to celebrate specific holidays. These sets were intended to serve as accessible, low-cost stocking stuffers or seasonal decorations, typically sold directly through LEGO Brand Retail stores and the online LEGO Shop during the weeks preceding October 31st.
The set features a small brick-built display stand, a cardboard backdrop, and two minifigures: a vampire and a witch. The design aesthetic is classic and cartoonish, reflecting the playful approach to holiday themes that LEGO adopted during this era. It was well-received by collectors who appreciated the inclusion of unique torso prints and the practical utility of the build for tabletop seasonal displays.
