Where it came from
The LEGO Friends Halloween Shop, released in 2024, was developed as part of the theme's rebooted narrative focusing on the diverse experiences of a new generation of characters in Heartlake City. The set is designed to capture the festive atmosphere of the holiday season, featuring a small storefront, a pumpkin display, and accessories like candy and costumes that reflect the imaginative play central to the Friends line.
The design team emphasized seasonal playability and modular integration, allowing the shop to fit seamlessly into the broader cityscape of newer Friends sets. As a smaller, accessible build, it was released to provide a budget-friendly seasonal option that leans into the vibrant, modern color palette and aesthetic consistency that the Friends theme has adopted since its relaunch, focusing on social interaction and creative expression.
