Where it came from
The Holiday Jet, identified as set number 4032-13, emerged from the promotional partnerships established by LEGO in the late 1990s. These smaller, thematic sets were frequently commissioned by airlines and corporate entities to serve as branded giveaways or inflight retail items, reflecting a period when the brand expanded its reach into global travel-focused marketing.
The design of the jet utilizes standard bricks from the period, prioritizing a compact and recognizable silhouette that could be easily assembled by younger travelers. While the aesthetic is minimalist compared to modern licensed sets, it achieved its goal of providing a portable, branded memento of the Aeroflot flying experience, representative of the corporate co-branding strategies common in the European aviation industry at the turn of the millennium.
