Where it came from
The Inquisitor Transport Scythe was released as part of the LEGO Star Wars theme in 2022, inspired by the starship's appearance in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Designed as a mid-sized playset, it captures the angular, menacing aesthetic of the Imperial Inquisitorius vessel. The set was crafted to reflect the dark, militaristic design language of the Galactic Empire, utilizing a black and dark-grey color palette to distinguish the craft from the standard Rebel or Republic designs.
Development of the set focused on functionality, incorporating wings that fold for flight and landing modes and spring-loaded shooters. Upon its release, the model was well-received by fans for its accurate portrayal of the source material and the inclusion of key minifigures, specifically the Grand Inquisitor, Reva (Third Sister), the Fifth Brother, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. It serves as a significant piece for collectors interested in the post-Revenge of the Sith era of the Star Wars timeline.
