Where it came from
The Karate Master was released in 2010 as part of the LEGO Minifigures Series 2, a line that pioneered the concept of collectible, blind-bagged figures. This series was introduced to capitalize on the success of the inaugural wave, offering fans a diverse array of unique characters that spanned various historical, cultural, and whimsical archetypes.
Designed to celebrate martial arts iconography, the figure features a distinct gi with a printed black belt and a headband element that mimics traditional training attire. The character was well-received by the collector community for its detailed torso printing and the inclusion of a specialized accessory, contributing to the broader popularity of the collectible minifigure format.
