Where it came from
The Kindness Day set, released as a limited promotional item in 2020, was conceived as a lighthearted tribute to communal spirit and everyday altruism. Its design features two small, buildable figures interacting with a mailbox and a collection of letters, emphasizing themes of connection and communication. The set emerged during a period of global social isolation, and the imagery of postal exchange served as a poignant nod to the enduring value of staying in touch with others.
The visual aesthetic follows the minimalist, block-based design language characteristic of micro-scale sets. The designers focused on creating a small, self-contained scene that could be assembled quickly while still evoking a sense of narrative. Upon its release, it was well-received by collectors who appreciate sets that capture emotional sentiments rather than complex mechanical functions, cementing its status as a gentle and representative piece of the era's promotional releases.
