Kohrak Va

Released in 2003 as part of the Bionicle series under the Bohrok-Kal subtheme, Kohrak Va is a small set known in fan terminology as a Matoran or 'Va' set. These figures were designed to serve as the diminutive counterparts to the main Bohrok-Kal canisters, acting as specialized assistants or scouts for the larger hive-minded creatures. The design utilizes a simplified build that prioritizes articulation for its limbs while incorporating a unique back-mounted storage mechanism meant to hold the krana headpiece associated with the larger Bohrok-Kal sets.

The aesthetic of Kohrak Va reflects the icy theme of the Bohrok-Kal, utilizing a color palette of white, trans-blue, and metallic silver to denote its elemental affiliation. As part of the wider expansion of the Bionicle lore during the early 2000s, these sets were intended to offer a more accessible, lower-cost entry point into the narrative for younger collectors.
