Where it came from
The Lederhosen Guy was released in 2012 as part of the LEGO Minifigure Series 8. This collectible line was designed to celebrate international cultural archetypes and whimsical characters, providing fans with unique prints and accessories that were rarely seen in standard themed sets. The figure is characterized by its authentic interpretation of traditional Bavarian attire, including a detailed printed vest, leather-textured breeches, and the iconic alpine hat.
The design focused on capturing the celebratory spirit of Oktoberfest through intricate torso printing and a specialized accessory in the form of a pretzel. As a blind-bagged figure, it was received with enthusiasm by collectors who appreciated the specific cultural detail and the inclusion of the pretzel element, which had become a sought-after piece for modular building layouts and MOC (My Own Creation) tavern scenes.
