LEGO Minifigures - Series 28 - Sealed Box

Released as part of the LEGO Minifigures Series 28, this collection represents the latest iteration of the blind-boxed format that LEGO introduced to encourage collectibility and surprise. Designed by the internal LEGO product development team, the series continues the tradition of featuring diverse, highly detailed characters, often incorporating specialized molded pieces and intricate printing techniques that elevate them above standard set-included minifigures. The series serves as a playful exploration of various character archetypes, catering to adult fans of LEGO who value both the assembly process and the display potential of these unique figures.

The transition to sealed cardboard boxes for the blind packaging process reflects a broader initiative within the LEGO Group to improve sustainability by phasing out single-use plastics. This design shift necessitated the use of internal cardboard inserts and rigorous quality control to maintain the mystery of the contents while protecting the figures during transit. Since its introduction, this packaging style has become the standard for the collectible minifigures line, and it has been received by the community as a significant, albeit functional, change that aligns the product with modern environmental standards.
