Little Piggy

The Little Piggy set, released in 2013 under the LEGO Duplo theme, was designed to provide toddlers with an accessible introduction to creative construction. As part of the wider Duplo farm-themed range, the set focused on simplicity, using large, durable bricks that cater to the motor skills of preschool-aged children. Its design emphasized tactile engagement, allowing young builders to assemble a small pen and a character figure, reinforcing the brand's long-standing strategy of combining educational play with recognizable animal motifs.

The design team at LEGO prioritized safety and ease of use, ensuring that the components met rigorous international standards for small children. The set was received as a straightforward, entry-level addition to the Duplo ecosystem, widely distributed through major toy retailers as an affordable impulse purchase. By anchoring the product in the familiar context of a farmyard, the design sought to encourage imaginative storytelling while maintaining the clean, minimalist aesthetic characteristic of the Duplo line throughout the early 2010s.
