Where it came from
The LEGO London Bus Magnet, designated as set 853914-1, was released in early 2019 as a decorative accessory within the LEGO brand's broader range of souvenir-style products. Designed to celebrate the iconic aesthetic of the British capital's transportation system, the set consists of a molded red brick base that incorporates a magnet, paired with a small-scale model of a double-decker bus constructed from standard building elements.
The design draws inspiration from the classic AEC Routemaster, a symbol of London's urban landscape. By offering a simplified, recognizable build, the set aimed to appeal to tourists and fans of architecture alike, providing a functional desk or refrigerator accessory that maintained the tactile, modular play pattern characteristic of the manufacturer’s design philosophy.
