Where it came from
The Mini Republic Dropship with AT-TE, designated set COMCON010-1, was released as a promotional exclusive for the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. It was designed as a scaled-down companion piece to the larger LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Republic Dropship with AT-OT, allowing fans to obtain a miniature version of the iconic tactical walker that appeared during the Clone Wars era.
The set was packaged within the LEGO Brickmaster branding, which focused on instructional builds and compact kits. Its design captured the distinctive aesthetic of the Galactic Republic's heavy assault vehicles using a limited palette of grey and blue elements. Given its limited distribution at the convention, it became a sought-after piece for completionist collectors of Star Wars LEGO sets, representing a specific era of promotional event exclusives.
