Moana's Island Fun

Moana's Island Fun, set number 43260-1, is a LEGO Disney set released as part of the broader 4+ product line designed specifically for younger builders transitioning from DUPLO bricks to the standard system. The set captures the coastal aesthetic of Motunui, featuring a small buildable island environment that reflects the architectural and cultural motifs established in the 2016 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Moana. By utilizing simplified assembly techniques, the design team aimed to provide an accessible and rewarding construction experience that remains faithful to the source material's vibrant color palette and iconic imagery.

The set was developed as part of the ongoing LEGO partnership with Disney, intended to encourage imaginative play by including a dedicated Moana character figure and accessories that evoke scenes from the film. The design focuses on ease of play, incorporating modular elements that allow children to rearrange the island components, which is a hallmark of the 4+ line's focus on developmental play. Upon its release, it was received as a functional entry-level set that bridges the gap between early childhood construction and more complex thematic building, maintaining the high quality and compatibility standard of the broader LEGO System.
