Party at Toad's House

The LEGO Super Mario set 72041-1, known as Party at Toad's House, was introduced as part of the broader expansion of the interactive LEGO Super Mario product line. Developed in partnership with Nintendo, the set was designed to integrate with the core Mario starter course, allowing players to recreate iconic scenes from the Mushroom Kingdom through digital building and gameplay experiences. The design focus was on modular play, featuring a miniature version of a Toad house that interacts with the Mario electronic figure to trigger sound effects and character responses.

This set fits within the strategy of bridging physical construction and digital interactivity, a design philosophy spearheaded by the LEGO Group to appeal to both traditional brick collectors and younger gaming audiences. Upon its release, the set was noted for its aesthetic faithfulness to the Nintendo source material and its ability to act as a functional centerpiece for larger, custom-built Mario landscapes. It remains a recognized entry in the non-numbered or promotional supplemental range of the Super Mario theme.
