Where it came from
Released in 2015 as part of the Lego Friends theme, the Puppy Training set, numbered 41088-1, was designed to expand the play potential of the Heartlake City sub-theme. The Friends line, introduced in 2012, shifted the traditional Lego design language toward a more narrative-driven, lifestyle-focused aesthetic, characterized by a distinct color palette and specialized mini-doll figures rather than the standard minifigure.
This specific set was intended as an affordable, accessible entry point for collectors and young builders, focusing on the popular 'Puppy' sub-theme that featured a variety of breeds and pet-care accessories. Its design centers on a small agility course, emphasizing the line's dedication to creating character-based scenarios that encourage creative role-play within the fictional world of Heartlake City.
