Red Son's Inferno Jet

Released in 2021 as part of the LEGO Monkie Kid theme, Red Son's Inferno Jet was designed to capture the high-energy, myth-inspired aesthetic that defines the series. The theme draws heavily from the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West, reimagining its legendary characters and supernatural elements within a vibrant, futuristic metropolis. This specific vehicle was developed as the primary aerial transport for the antagonist Red Son, reflecting his fiery abilities and temperamental personality through a distinct color palette of translucent orange and flame-themed detailing.

The design process for the Inferno Jet focused on incorporating interactive play features, such as spring-loaded shooters and a cockpit canopy designed to mimic the character's signature style. Within the narrative of the Monkie Kid universe, the set represents the ongoing technological conflict between the forces of the Demon Bull King and the protagonists. It received positive feedback for its bold use of color and the dynamic posing potential of the included minifigures, which helped solidify its place as a recognizable piece within the broader, ongoing expansion of the LEGO Group's original intellectual property.
