Sea Rescue Centre

Released in 2023 as part of the LEGO Friends theme, the Sea Rescue Centre was developed during a major creative overhaul of the brand. This redesign introduced a more diverse cast of characters and shifted the focus toward contemporary social and environmental themes, specifically marine conservation and animal rehabilitation. The set is designed to reflect a modern, professional wildlife rescue facility, incorporating functional elements like a slide, an X-ray station, and a cleaning area to provide an educational narrative around marine biology and ecological stewardship.

The design emphasizes a bright, approachable aesthetic typical of the Friends line, utilizing a modular construction that allows for interactive play patterns. It was developed to encourage children to engage with concepts of sustainability and empathy toward nature. Upon its launch, the set was noted for its detailed miniature animal figures and its alignment with LEGO’s broader corporate commitment to promoting environmental awareness and inclusive play through its updated, more realistic character-driven storytelling.
