Where it came from
Sir Santis was released in 2004 as part of the Knights Kingdom II series, a line that transitioned from a modular building aesthetic to a more character-focused narrative approach. Produced during a period when the brand was experimenting with larger, more articulated action-style figures rather than traditional minifigures, this set provided a central hero figure to anchor the kingdom’s lore against the antagonistic Vladek faction.
The design of Sir Santis emphasizes the heroic archetype, featuring a distinct color palette of lime green and dark grey that set him apart from the standard silver-armored soldiers of the line. The figure was crafted to showcase the new specialized construction system of the time, emphasizing playability through a ball-jointed frame that allowed for dynamic posing, a design choice that remains a notable curiosity among collectors of the mid-2000s era.
