Where it came from
The Stranger Things Sketchbook, identified as set number 5005933-1, was released as a promotional item during a period of intense cultural interest in the aesthetics of the 1980s. Published to coincide with the popularity of the Stranger Things television series, the sketchbook serves as a piece of branded merchandise designed to capture the show’s distinct visual identity, which draws heavily from the era's science fiction and horror illustrations.
The design of the sketchbook typically emphasizes the gritty, nostalgic retro-style artwork associated with the series’ promotional materials. It was created to provide fans with a tangible medium for creative expression while leaning into the show's dark, atmospheric lore. The item was received as a niche collectible for dedicated followers of the franchise, serving primarily as a functional accessory for viewers who engage with the series' design language and artistic influence.
