Tahu - Master of Fire

Released in 2015 as part of the Bionicle reboot, Tahu – Master of Fire was designed to reintroduce the iconic leader of the Toa to a new generation of builders. This iteration utilized the then-modern Constraction system, which relied on ball-and-socket joints and the custom skeletal frame introduced by the Hero Factory line. The set was created to honor the aesthetic roots of the original 2001 character while incorporating more dynamic articulation and a specialized 'lava surfboard' accessory that reflected the theme's renewed focus on elemental action.

The visual design of the set was helmed by the LEGO internal design team, who aimed to blend the technical complexity of building sets with the personality-driven narrative of the Bionicle universe. It features the signature bright red and orange color palette, along with a distinct golden mask that serves as the character's primary collectible objective. Upon release, the set was well-received by fans of the franchise for its high degree of posability and its successful integration of classic character elements into a updated, contemporary building standard.
