Where it came from
The Thanksgiving Feast set, released in 2015 as part of the Seasonal subtheme, was designed to celebrate the American holiday tradition. It features a festive dining room scene, complete with a table set for two, a turkey, and various side dishes. The build reflects a shift in LEGO's seasonal offerings during this era, moving toward detailed vignettes that could serve as tabletop decorations rather than traditional toy play sets.
The design emphasizes a warm, autumnal color palette and utilizes small-scale techniques to replicate items like a cooked bird and a roast chicken. It was received as a charming, affordable gift-with-purchase or seasonal retail item, appealing to adult collectors who appreciated the domestic detail and festive atmosphere. Its design follows the established LEGO aesthetic of the time, prioritizing recognizable iconography within a compact footprint.
