Where it came from
The LEGO Book, specifically the New Edition released to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the LEGO brick, serves as a comprehensive visual chronicle of the company's evolution. Originally conceived to document the transformation from a small Danish woodworking shop into a global cultural phenomenon, the text provides an extensive look at the manufacturing history, the development of iconic themes, and the innovative engineering behind the modern brick system.
Designed as a coffee-table style reference guide, the book features high-quality archival photography and contributions from LEGO historians. It was developed to offer both long-time adult fans and younger builders a cohesive narrative of the brand's creative journey. Upon its release, the volume was well-received by the collector community for its detailed timeline and the inclusion of a specialized, limited-production translucent brick that celebrates the history of the product line.
