Where it came from
The TV Chopper, released under set number 6425-1, debuted in 1997 as part of the LEGO Town subtheme known as Extreme Team. This collection was designed to reflect the adventurous spirit of the late nineties, featuring a vibrant color palette of yellow, black, and red that was synonymous with the era's focus on high-energy, outdoor-themed sets.
The model was designed as a specialized aerial vehicle intended for filming extreme sports, capturing the essence of 'extreme' television production at the time. It is a straightforward construction that exemplifies the functional, blocky aesthetic common to late-nineties LEGO builds, and it remains a nostalgic piece for those who collected during the peak of the Town theme's diversification.
