Vardy's Ice Vulture Glider

Vardy's Ice Vulture Glider was released in 2014 as part of the LEGO Legends of Chima theme, a high-fantasy line centered on anthropomorphic animal tribes competing for a life-force energy source known as Chi. Designed by the internal LEGO creative team, this set was developed during the mid-cycle of the Chima narrative to showcase the Ice Hunter faction, a group introduced to add a colder, more menacing aesthetic contrast to the original jungle-based tribes.

The design of the glider features a distinctive avian silhouette with articulated wings meant to mimic the predatory nature of a vulture. It was engineered with playability in mind, incorporating wing-flapping mechanisms and firing missiles that were hallmark features of the Chima vehicle lineup. Upon its release, it was received as a solid mid-range entry in the collection, noted for its cohesive icy blue and white color scheme that successfully conveyed the elemental powers attributed to the character Vardy within the franchise lore.
