Where it came from
Released in 2020 as part of the seasonal promotional line, the Winter Snowball Fight set was designed to capture the quintessential atmosphere of a mid-winter day. It depicts two minifigures engaged in a playful outdoor skirmish, complete with a small buildable snow fort and a catapult mechanism for launching white studs. The design focus was on accessibility and charm, providing an affordable and compact entry point for holiday-themed building during the winter months.
The set was received as a lighthearted addition to the broader category of seasonal display pieces. By incorporating interactive play features like the flick-fire catapult, the designers intended to balance the aesthetic appeal of a winter scene with the tactile engagement that defines the building system. It remains a representative example of the brand's approach to small, character-driven vignettes meant to complement larger holiday village displays.
