Where it came from
The Wintertime Polar Bears set, released in 2022, was designed as a seasonal decorative piece for the winter holidays. LEGO released this kit as a small, accessible build aimed at capturing a festive aesthetic, fitting into the company's long-standing tradition of producing winter-themed seasonal vignettes that serve as both tabletop displays and interactive holiday activities.
The design features two polar bears—one adult and one cub—positioned on a snowy base that includes Christmas trees and a festive banner. The set was created to be a minimalist display piece, emphasizing simple, recognizable shapes and a clean color palette typical of holiday-themed releases. It was generally well-received by fans of seasonal sets for its charming, compact footprint and the decorative appeal of its display base.
