Where it came from
Released in 2024 as part of the LEGO City theme, the World Builder set 11987-1 was designed to provide builders with a diverse selection of structural elements, accessories, and minifigure components. This set belongs to a series of creative expansion packs intended to offer fans modular assets to customize their existing urban layouts, reflecting the theme's emphasis on fostering open-ended play rather than rigid model construction.
The design philosophy behind the World Builder line focuses on utility and versatility, prioritizing a broad color palette and a variety of functional pieces such as street furniture, greenery, and character-driven accessories. By providing these supplementary parts, the set allows builders to enhance the livability of their cityscapes, receiving positive feedback from the enthusiast community for its practical application in diorama building and interior design for city structures.
