World Fun

The LEGO World Fun set, released under the Creative Brick Box line, was designed as part of a 2018 initiative to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic LEGO brick. Conceived by the design team in Billund, the set aimed to provide a versatile, open-ended building experience that encouraged children to engage in creative play rather than following rigid, model-specific instructions. It serves as an homage to the history of the company, reflecting the enduring simplicity of the classic building system that remains the foundation of their design philosophy.

The packaging and contents of the set were intentionally styled to evoke a sense of nostalgia, drawing on the aesthetics of mid-century building sets while incorporating modern color palettes and specialized elements. Upon its release, it was well-received by parents and educators who valued its focus on fostering imagination and spatial reasoning. By focusing on a diverse collection of basic bricks, wheels, and windows, the designers ensured that the set would remain a flexible tool for creators long after its initial commemorative purpose had passed.
