Fox Xanatos

The Fox Xanatos card, numbered 49 in the Hyperia City set, emerged during the mid-cycle expansion of the Hyperia City trading card game. Developed as a mid-tier character card, it was designed to integrate into existing deck archetypes, serving as a tactical utility piece rather than a central powerhouse. Its creation reflects the thematic shift of the Hyperia City line toward complex character dynamics, balancing mechanical versatility with the atmospheric, industrial aesthetic that defined the series.

The visual design of the card was executed by the core art team at the Hyperia City studio, who leaned into a cyberpunk-noir style to capture the character's mysterious persona. The illustration aimed to evoke a sense of calculated ambiguity, utilizing sharp, contrasting color palettes that became a hallmark of the uncommon rarity tier. Upon release, the card was received as a reliable, if understated, addition to the game, appreciated by players for its consistent performance in draft play and its contribution to the expanded lore of the setting.
