Mariano Guzman

Mariano Guzman, card number 16 in the Archazia's Island set, emerged during the late 1990s as a common character card in a tabletop trading card game centered on high-fantasy exploration. Designed by the game's in-house art department, the card was intended to fill out the roster of supporting maritime figures, providing players with basic utility units to populate their deck's engine. The aesthetic reflects the era's lean toward vibrant, saturated digital illustrations and fantasy-realist portraiture typical of mid-tier CCG releases.

Upon its release, the card was widely distributed in standard booster packs, functioning as a staple for newer players learning the game's mechanics. While the Archazia's Island set saw moderate success within hobby stores, it never attained the cultural ubiquity of its competitors. Consequently, the art and design of minor characters like Guzman have largely been preserved by niche community archives and long-time enthusiasts of the defunct series, serving as a snapshot of the experimental landscape of the late-90s gaming boom.
