Where it came from
The People Gonna Come Here card was released as part of the Hyperia City expansion, a set centered on the frantic, neon-drenched urban decay of its namesake fictional metropolis. Designed as a high-rarity action card, it reflects the game's focus on momentum and shifting crowd dynamics, functioning mechanically to force an immediate relocation of units on the playmat.
The art was commissioned to capture the surreal, overcrowded architecture of Hyperia. The illustrator opted for a disorienting perspective that emphasizes the claustrophobic nature of the city's districts. Upon its release, the card became a staple in competitive meta-strategies due to its disruptive utility, quickly garnering a reputation among players for being as frustrating to face as it is rewarding to play.
