Pongo

Pongo was introduced as the second card in the Fabled set, a collection celebrated for its focus on iconic literary and cinematic figures reimagined through a distinct, minimalist aesthetic. The character draws inspiration from the classic canine protagonist of the Dalmatian narrative, with the illustration team opting for a stylized, high-contrast look that emphasizes the breed's signature patterns against a muted, sophisticated background. This approach was intended to elevate familiar cultural archetypes into art-house style collectibles, appealing to enthusiasts of modern graphic design as much as fans of the source material.

Upon release, the Pongo card was classified as super-rare, quickly distinguishing itself as a focal point for those assembling the Fabled series. The design choice to minimize facial features in favor of posture and silhouette was met with significant praise from the collecting community, who lauded the decision to prioritize composition over literal representation. Its scarcity within the release structure has since solidified its status as a sought-after entry for serious collectors who value the intersection of classic storytelling and contemporary visual art.
