Provenance

Where it came from

The Yzma character card from the Illumineer's Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue set was released in 2024 as part of the Disney Lorcana trading card game. This specific release introduced a cooperative gameplay format, allowing players to work together against a common automated opponent, which marked a significant shift in the franchise's design philosophy toward communal play experiences.

Designed by the Disney Lorcana creative team, this card depicts the iconic antagonist from The Emperor's New Groove in her distinctive, angular style. The card was created to serve as a central challenge mechanic within the quest, blending high-utility game mechanics with artwork that reflects the character's erratic and flamboyant personality, earning praise from players for its thematic integration into the set's unique co-op structure.
