It was later featured in the 2016 Duel Decks: Blessed vs. Cursed release as card number 50, a preconstructed product curated to represent the ongoing conflict between the humans of Thraben and the undead horrors of the plane. This version retains the original illustration by Dave Kendall, whose work throughout the set emphasized the visceral, decay-oriented aesthetic of the Innistrad setting.

The card's design centers on the 'morbid' mechanic, a keyword introduced in the block that provides players with benefits for creatures dying during a turn.
