Provenance

Where it came from

All Suns' Dawn was originally printed in the 2004 Fifth Dawn expansion, the final set in the original Mirrodin block for Magic: The Gathering. Designed by Wizards of the Coast, the card reflects the block's focus on artifacts and the artificial plane of Mirrodin. The card's design features art by Greg Staples, who aimed to evoke the celestial and gathering themes inherent in the set's mythology, where the five suns of the plane align to create a moment of profound magical potential.

The card was later included in 'The List', a rotating selection of reprints curated by Wizards of the Coast to appear in Set Boosters starting in 2020. This practice serves to reintroduce classic or thematic cards to modern players, maintaining interest in the game's deep history. As a sorcery that returns a card of each color from the graveyard to the hand, it remains a notable example of late-game value cards within the game's color-pie philosophy.
