Where it came from
Argothian Pixies was originally printed in the Antiquities expansion in 1994, representing the lore of Argoth, a lush island central to the conflict between the Brothers Urza and Mishra. This card was later reprinted in the 1995 Chronicles set, which was designed to increase the availability of cards from early, out-of-print expansions that had become difficult for players to acquire.
The artwork for the card was created by Amy Weber, a prolific early contributor to the Magic: The Gathering aesthetic.
