Armor Thrull

Armor Thrull was released in the 1994 Fallen Empires expansion for Magic: The Gathering, a set designed to explore a narrative of civil war and resource depletion on the plane of Dominaria. As a common creature, it was crafted to bolster the black-aligned deck archetypes that utilized the set's distinct sacrifice mechanics, reflecting the lore of the Order of the Ebon Hand, an organization that harvested and reshaped flesh to create these loyal, expendable servants.

The artwork was provided by Pete Venters, one of the most prolific illustrators during the early years of the game.
