Ashnod's Transmogrant

Ashnod's Transmogrant was released in 1994 as part of Antiquities, the second expansion set for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. The set explored the lore of the Brothers' War, a pivotal conflict in the game's narrative centered on the conflict between artificers Urza and Mishra. The card depicts a creation of Ashnod, a cruel and brilliant artificer who served Mishra, and reflects the set's thematic focus on industrial artifacts and the high human cost of the war.

The artwork was provided by Mark Tedin, one of the most prolific and iconic early artists for the game.
